In 2021, there are about 3.3 million Mongolians living in Mongolia.

However, there are around 10.5 million Mongolic types of people in the world. Most of them, ~5.9 million, are ethnic Southern Mongolians, which is an autonomous region northeast of China.

Other Diasporas of Mongolic people around the world are Kalmyks in Western Russia, Buryats in East Siberian Russia, and Oirats in Northern China.
